The Tour de France is the 2022 cycling event of the world. The 24-day event will start with the cyclist taking off from Copenhagen, Denmark, today and finishing in Champs-Élysées, Paris, on July 24.

The first stage of the 109th annual event consists of the cyclist riding time trials in Copenhagen. They will ride a combined distance of 13km or 8.1 miles, which was completed yesterday. Today, the riders will begin the tour and will be riding from Roskilde to Nyborg, Denmark, which is a distance of 199km or 124 miles.
Tadej Pogačar won the 2021 Tour de France overall as well as winning the mountains and youth categories. Jonas Vingegaard came in second and Richard Carapaz in third. Mark Cavendish won the points category.
