Sri Lanka won the ICC T20 World Cup in 2014. In the 2022 World Cup, the team finished fourth in its group, failing to advance to the knockout phase.
Nepal is competing in the ICC T20 World Cup for the second time. The team last was in this competition back in 2014, when it had two wins and one loss in the group stage but failed to advance to the Super 10, with Bangladesh winning the group on Net Run Rate.
