Belgium opened group play with a 1-0 defeat against Slovakia, with the team unable to score after Slovakia scored an early goal from Slavia Prague forward Ivan Schranz.
Romania, meanwhile, poured on the goals in a 3-0 win over Ukraine. The team saw goals from Nicolae Stanciu of Damac, Răzvan Marin of Empoli and Denis Drăguș of Trabzonspor.
