The Indian Wells defending champion and runner-up are both in action and look to advance for a rematch in the 2025 BNP Paribas Open. In both of those finals Alcaraz was challenged by Daniil Medvadev. In the other semifinal this 12th seeded Holger Rune looks to upset fifth-seeded Medvedev to prevent the fiery competitor from making the finals for a third straight year. Alcaraz and Draper have played just four times in singles matches in their careers. Alcaraz holds a 3-1 advantage in the series, winning the last two and the only match here at Indian Wells in 2023 during the round of 16.

Medvedev holds a 2-1 advantage in the career head-to-head against Rune. Last year they faced off here at Indian Wells a round earlier with Medvedev winning in straight sets.

Also on the schedule is the men’s doubles finals. The top-seeded team of Mate Pavic and Marcelo Arevalo already punched their ticket to the finals. They will face either the team of Sebastian Korda and Jordan Thompson or John-Patrick Smith and Fernando Romboli, both duos coming into the tournament as unseeded underdogs.
