Jamaica and Guatemala face-off on Monday in 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup soccer action.
The Dignity Health Tennis Center is set to host the exciting matchup between Jamaica and Guatemala on Monday in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup group stage. The two teams are sitting in Group C alongside Panama and Guadeloupe. The Jamaican national team is coming off of action in the Concacaf World Cup Qualifiers second round last week, where it came away with back-to-back victories in the tournament. The first of the consecutive victories was a narrow 1-0 finish over the British Virgin Islands on June 7 at the A.O. Shirley Recreation Ground. Warner Dwayne Brown was able to find the back of the net to score the lone goal in the 17th minute of the match. The team held onto the shutout for the rest of the encounter away from home.

The Jamaicans followed up the victory over the British Virgin Islands last Saturday with a 3-0 thrashing of none other than Guatemala on Tuesday at National Stadium Independence Park.
This time Jon Russell opened the scoring in the 26th minute to give Jamaica a 1-0 lead. Then, Dwayne Brown doubled the lead 11 minutes later to give the Jamaicans a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.
Finally, Dwayne Brown scored in the 73rd minute again to put the nail in the coffin and seal a 3-0 victory at home over the Guatemalans.
Jamaica is sitting atop the Group E table in the second round of Concacaf FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifying with 12 points, while Guatemala is sitting in second place with nine points so far after four matches.
