An astonishing 120 places separate these two teams in the current FIFA rankings, but anything can happen in tournament soccer – or at least that’s the hope Suriname is holding onto.

Suriname has never advanced beyond the group stage of a Gold Cup and will more than likely need at least a draw in Arlington this week to have any hopes of ending that drought this year.

The team entered this tournament with high hopes after going four unbeaten, but a swift return back down to earth could prove cataclysmic as they now face the favorite.
