Barring an upset of Senegal by Chile, a second win should be enough to propel the Spaniards into Thursday’s quarterfinals.

Wins by Tahiti and Senegal would leave a three-way tie for second in the group, leaving goal differential in group play as the first tiebreaker. Italy and Chile enter the day at -1, while Tahiti is at -4. Spain finished runner-up at the 2013 World Cup, while Tahiti lost the final at both the 2015 and 2017 events.
