Lionel Messi is back in action as Inter Miami faces Porto at the FIFA Club World Cup on Thursday. Watch the game live and for free on Fubo today.

Either Inter Miami or Porto can take their perch atop Group A of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup on Thursday if they can bag a win after all four teams in the pool drew their opening games of the tournament last time out. The Herons were held to a goalless draw in the tournament’s opening matchup against Egyptian outfit Al Ahly, while Porto and Brazilian outfit Palmeiras also failed to produce a goal between them. That leaves things all square heading into the second round of fixtures, with Lionel Messi hoping to spearhead his hosts to a maiden Club World Cup win at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The two teams meet for the first time in Atlanta, with Javier Mascherano’s men currently trailing at the bottom of Group A based on fair play points after they received four yellow cards against Al Ahly.

Palmeiras may have managed to keep him quiet, but one name Inter’s defenders would do well to cage is Samu Aghehowa, who scored 25 goals in 43 games in his first season at Porto last term.

The former Atletico Madrid striker – who never made a first-team appearance for Los Rojiblancos – debuted for Spain last year and already looks like one of the best striker prospects in Europe:

The 21-year-old is far from alone amid Porto’s crop of emerging stars, though, with 18-year-old Rodrigo Mora, 19-year-old Tomas Perez and 23-year-old Gabri Veiga also worth keeping an eye on.

The Portuguese powerhouse comes into this competition fresh off a third-place finish in the league this season, failing to clinch silverware for the first time in four years.

Inter Miami did secure a trophy last year by winning the MLS Supporters’ Shield, though its inclusion in the competition was no less controversial among fans.
