Scottie Scheffler is back to defend his green jacket as the 2025 Masters Tournament tees off in round one on Thursday.

The biggest event in the PGA Tour season will open up on Thursday morning in Georgia at the renowned Augusta National Golf Club. This four-round major will conclude on Sunday with the final 18 holes and a crowned champion. Last year, the No. 1 golfer on the World Golf Rankings took the crown at the Masters and was awarded his green jacket. Scottie Scheffler finished the four rounds with an 11-under-par and a 4-under-par on his final round. He was followed by runner-up Ludvig Åberg, who finished at seven-under-par.

Scheffler comes back into the 2025 Masters Tournament as the favorite to win the event again in back-to-back years. He is followed by Rory McIlroy with the highest odds to come away with the green jacket. At 14-1 odds, the two of them are followed by Collin Morikawa and Jon Rahm with the top five rounded out by 16-1 odd favorite Bryson DeChambeau.

Previous to today, there were two practice rounds of golf on Monday and Tuesday as golfers get the feel for the course before they participate in the four live rounds. On Wednesday, there was a Par 3 contested followed by more practice.

Davis Riley and Patton Kizzire will tee off first this morning to get the tournament underway at 7:40 a.m. EST in Group 1. They were followed by Kevin Yu, Jhonattan Vegas, and Nicolai Højgaard in the second group. Scheffler will tee off at 10:15 a.m. EST in Group 14 with Justin Thomas and Jose Luis Ballester. Sahith Theegala, Sepp Straka, and Sam Burns will tee off last at 1:45 p.m. EST on opening day.
