They proceeded to win in the first two sets in Round 3 against Belinda Bencic and Ekaterina Alexandrova, 6-4 and 6-0. The quarterfinal was the second time these teammates were forced into a third set. That match was against Clara Tauson and Anna Kalinskaya. They went back to winning in two sets in the semifinal matchup, taking down Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend, 7-5 and 6-4.

Elise Mertens and Veronika Kudermetov opened up their tournament with a two-set win. Their Round 2 win was also in two sets. They won the first 6-2 and followed it up with a 6-4 win. They won their third round in walkover, meaning that they didn’t actually have to compete in this round, it was a win by default.

Heading into the quarterfinals, Mertens and Kudermetov took on a team of Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe. They won that in two sets. They went back to winning in three sets in a tough semfinal match, where they took down Olivia Gadecki and Desirae Krawczyk. They lost the first set 6-3, before winning 6-0 and 6-3 to advance.
