The SEC Championship in women’s college golf plays the final day of match play today.
After a weekend of play in the SEC Championship the top eight teams have advanced to play for the title this week. The event switched to match play on Monday for the next two rounds of golf for the teams with South Carolina holding a three-stroke lead over the rest of the field at three under par. Joining the Gamecocks this week are Auburn at even par, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Arkansas, Georgia and LSU all still in the mix as the tournament switches over to match play. One championship has already been crowned with the (Mississippi State) Bulldogs Julia Lopez Ramirez taking home the individual championship.

Lopez Ramirez closed out the final round with a five under 65 to lock up the individual championship in the SEC this season. The win is a second straight for Lopez Ramirez who also won the individual championship in the SEC last season.
The Monday quarterfinal matches that are still in play feature the Gamecocks vs. (LSU) Tigers, (Mississippi State) Bulldogs vs. Wildcats, (Auburn) Tigers vs. (Georgia) Bulldogs and the Aggies vs. Razorbacks. Each winning team on Monday advances to play in the semifinals today for the SEC Championship today.
In the last two tournaments tigers have won the SEC Championship with the (Auburn) Tigers winning in 2021 and the LSU (Tigers) still alive as the defending champions in this tournament. Both teams are still in the mix, but looking up at the Gamecocks as the top team after great play over the weekend.
