Lavar Scott looks for that elusive 1st victory as the ARCA Menards Series heads to Michigan International Speedway on Friday night

The ARCA Menards Series returns to one of its oldest hosts on Friday night for the 44th running of the Henry Ford Health 200 at Michigan International Speedway. It’s the sixth of 20 races this season on the developmental stock-car circuit and series leader Lavar Scott leads the field onto the D-shaped oval that opened in 1968. Scott has finished in the top 10 in all five races this season, with four top-five runs, and leads Brenden Queen and Lawless Alan in the standings by four points.

Qualifying was held just before the race on Friday afternoon. Queen has won twice already this season, taking the checkered flag at Daytona in February and again at Kansas early last month. Alan picked up a victory at Talladega in April. While Scott leads the circuit with an average finish of 4.6 — nearly three positions better than the next driver — he is still looking for his first ARCA Menards Series win.

Queen comes off a tough run in Charlotte on May 23, finishing 14th, two laps off the lead lap, after starting third. Andy Jankowiak comes to Michigan eight points behind Scott in fourth place in the standings, with a long drop to Jason Kitzmiller in fifth place, 45 points back.

Connor Zilisch earned one of his five ARCA Menards Series wins last year at Michigan and the 18-year-old is primarily running on the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025. Scott finished 15th in that race last August, while Kitzmiller ran seventh.
