With the two in-state foes renewing their rivalry in Tempe this weekend, Arizona State welcomes longtime rival Arizona to Desert Financial Arena for a Saturday afternoon matchup. Following an upset win over No. 3 Iowa State earlier this week, Arizona is riding a three-game winning streak to a 14-6 overall record with an 8-1 mark in Big 12 play. However, the Wildcats have won 10 of their 14 games at home compared to a 3-2 record on the road. Arizona State, on the other hand, notched a win last week to improve to 12-8 overall with a 3-6 conference record and a 5-3 mark at home. Arizona has won three consecutive games over Arizona State, including a 85-67 victory last February.

Most recently, Arizona won its third-straight game with a massive 86-75 upset victory in overtime over No. 3 Iowa State in Tucson on Monday night. Caleb Love forced overtime with a half-court heave then went on a run in the extra period to finish with a team-high 22 points. Tobe Awaka added 17 points as well for Arizona. 

As for Arizona State, the Sun Devils won their last contest with a 70-68 victory over Colorado on the road on Tuesday night. Adam Miller scored 18 points for the Devils while Alston Mason added 17 points in the win. 

Arizona and Arizona State renew their rivalry in Tempe on Saturday afternoon.
