John Calipari and No. 10 seed Arkansas will take on Rick Pitino and No. 2 seed St. John’s in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday.

The No. 10-seeded Arkansas will take on the No. 2-seeded St. John’s in the second round of the West Region in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship on Saturday at Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. The No. 10-seeded Razorbacks, led by legendary head coach John Calipari, will attempt to reach the Sweet 16 after taking down Bill Self and the No. 7 Kansas in the Round of 64 on Thursday night. After losing to Ole Miss in the second round of the SEC Touranment, they beat Kansas by seven points in a game that was back and forth for much of the contest.

In the 79-72 win on Thursday, Jonas Aidoo led the team and the game with 22 points on 10-of-19 shooting. Trevon Brazile had the only double-double on Arkansas with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Four of the five starters on the team finished in double figures. Boogie Fland also had six points in his first game back in two months.

The No. 2-seeded Red Storm are making a resurgence under another legendary head coach in Rick Pitino. They head into this game with a 31-4 overall record and finished their season with an 18-2 record in conference play. After winning the Big East Tournament over Creighton, they opened up the NCAA Tournament against No. 15-seeded Omaha.

In the 83-53 win, RJ Luis Jr, the Big East Player of the Year, finished with 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting in a game-high performance. Zuby Ejiofor had 10 points, seven rebounds, and four assists while Simeon Wilcher finished with 13 points and two assists. Kadary Richmond had one of the best all-around game with 10 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
