After an exciting walk-off win for the Reno Aces in Game 1 of the six-game series, the series continues against the Salt Lake Bees on Wednesday. After scoring four runs in the first three innings, the Aces scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning when Adrian Del Castillo hit a two-run walk-off double for a 6-5 win. After the two teams traded punches all night long, the Bees appeared to get the knockout blow in the top of the eighth inning when Charles Leblanc came to the plate with two outs and crushed a first pitch slider from Reno’s Scott McGough 453 feet out to left field to give the team a 5-4 lead. However, it didn’t last.

The Bees will now try to bounce back and even up the series against the Aces with Brett Kerry set to toe the rubber opposite Tommy Henry.

Kerry is 2-0 on the season with a 3.45 ERA. The right-hander did have a slip up in his last outing, allowing six runs on seven hits in 5.2 innings in the no decision. Henry made his MLB debut in 2022 and has pitched in six games for the Arizona Diamondbacks this season. In the Minors he is 2-1 with a 4.15 ERA.
