The United States and Serbia face in USA Basketball Showcase
With the Olympics fast approaching, Team USA is in Abu Dhabi to play Serbia on Wednesday in a Showcase game to help get the team up to speed ahead of the main event later in the month. On July 15, Team USA played Australia, winning 98-92. Anthony Davis led the team in scoring off the bench with 17 points. The United States started Joel Embiid, LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Anthony Edwards and Stephen Curry in that game, moving Jrue Holiday and Devin Booker to the bench after they started the previous game. Kevin Durant and Derrick White did not play.

The Serbian roster for the Olympics features big names like Nikola Jokic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Vasilije Micic, and Nikola Jovic. Other players include Aleksej Pokusevski and Marko Guduric. This team did not qualify for the 2020 Olympics despite winning silver in 2016. Serbia also won silver in the 2023 World Cup, losing 83-77 to Germany in the final.
