Unbeatens Karl Thompson and Rob Boardman slug it out for the BKFC United Kingdom cruiserweight title on Saturday

Headlining a 13-fight card from the Walker Activity Dome in Newcastle, England, is a battle between unbeatens for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship United Kingdom cruiserweight belt at BKFC Fight Night: Newcastle. Karl Thompson (3-0, 2 KOs) takes on Rob Boardman (6-0, 5 KOs) for the title. Thompson stopped Dawid Chylinski at 1:25 of the third round at BKFC 68 in Newcastle on Nov. 2 while Boardman comes off a TKO win over Lee Browne 47 seconds into the fourth round at BKFC 64 in Coventry, England, on Aug. 10. All of the fights are scheduled for five rounds of two minutes each.

In the co-main event, unbeaten middleweights Pic Jardine (1-0, 1 KO) and Tony Shields (3-0, 3 KOs) square off. Jardine won his bare-knuckle debut at the BKFC Prospect Series event in Newcastle on June 8, stopping Bart Król 35 seconds into the third round. Shields is making his BKFC debut after winning the BKB middleweight title in London on May 4 when Lionel Levitchi didn’t come out for the second round.

In the featured bout, lightweights Lewis Keen (2-1, 2 KOs) and Ryan McCarthy (1-1) are set to do battle. Both fighters come into this event off losses, with Keen stopped by Ben Bonner 1:44 into the first round at BKFC 68 on Nov. 2 and McCarthy losing a unanimous decision to Simey Doherty at Bad to the Bone: Unbreakable in Staffordshire, England, on Sept. 21.
