These two have arguably been affected most by the COVID-19 amongst all NBA teams. Even still, both the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers are amongst ESPN's top-five in power rankings and's top-ten. For the Celtics, things are looking up because they are getting reinforcements back. Boston had three games postponed last week because they had too many players out because of the virus. That includes Jayson Tatum who is still not eligible to return but there is a possibility he would be good to go as long as he tests negative for the virus on Friday's rematch against the 76ers.

So who are they getting back to spark optimism? Center Robert Williams missed three games after testing positive for COVID but he is traveling with the team and is said to be good to go. Most importantly for the makeup of this team though is the return of Kemba Walker. He has not tested positive but rather returned after missing the start of the season after undergoing knee surgery in the offseason.

He returned in Sunday's matchup against the New York Knicks where he scored nine points and the Celtics got destroyed 105-75. He looked healthy though which frankly is the only thing that matters. Part of their struggles have come because they didn't practice for most of last week. Once this team is able to gel. they should be able to contend at the top of the Eastern Conference.

They're going to need it because this conference is finally stacked for once. The Milwaukee Bucks are still the best team in the East until proven otherwise. The Brooklyn Nets have James Harden who seems to care about playing to his full potential again. We will have to see how Kyrie Irving meshes to truly evaluate how great they are but they are on the fast track to the EC Finals. Then there are the 76ers who will have quite a bit to say when it's all said and done.

Philly is absolutely dominant when Joel Embiid is on the court. They are 9-2 when he plays and 0-3 when he doesn't. That included a game when the 76ers played the Denver Nuggets with only seven players and the league didn't postpone it. Philly unsurprisingly got thrashed. What is surprising is they've lost to bad teams like the Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers. They'll need everything from Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris to pull one off against the Celtics.

Right now Embiid looks like a front-runner for MVP but so far they seem to need to rely on him too much to get out of the second round of the playoffs that this team and new head coach Doc Rivers have been perpetually stuck in for the last decade. There were rumors Philly was looking to add Harden but with that ship sailed in the division noless, you start to wonder if they need to add one more piece to make some serious noise past the regular season. This team was swept 4-0 by the Celtics in the bubble playoffs. There is much to prove still to show signs that won't happen again. Wednesday and Fridays matchups against the C's will go a long way at silencing the critics.
