Unbeaten Acosta (20-0) has finished his last two opponents and most recently scored a doctor’s stoppage win over Alberto Melian in an exhibition outing at the IBA Champions Night event last April.

Cardenas (25-1), on the other hand, has finished each of his last four opponents, which includes a sixth-round win over Israel Rodriguez when he fought on another ProBox card this time last year.

‘Dinamita’ was also last in action in April 2024 and handed Eduardo Ramirez a loss with a left hook to the body, winning the vacant WBA Continental North America super bantamweight belt in the process.

Both of these fighters have built a reputation for their finishing power in the division, though Cardenas in particular has enjoyed an upturn in stoppage results over the past couple of years:

Saturday’s card will host nine fights in total, including a 135lb clash between Justin Pauldo (17-2) and Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov (17-2-1) in the penultimate matchup.

Unbeaten Figo Ramirez will also put his unblemished record on the line against Jose Lopez, while 12-0 Michael Angeletti faces off against 14-3 Judy Flores in what should be a feisty encounter.

    Regional restrictions may apply.
