Der Klassiker returns as Bayern Munich hosts Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Watch the game live and for free on Fubo today.

Days after suffering a disastrous dismantling at Barcelona’s hands, Borussia Dortmund has the unenviable job of travelling to Bayern Munich on Saturday as Der Klassiker headlines the Bundesliga weekend. The biggest fixture in German soccer will see league leader Bayern attempt to increase its six-point lead at the table summit, while eighth-place Dortmund is fighting to carve some form of success out of this season. Clashes between these two teams are traditionally battles for top spot, but the gap between the clubs doesn’t change the fact this game should drastically alter either outfit’s entire campaign.

Despite the 27-point gap separating it from the pace-setter, Dortmund will travel to the Allianz Arena with the same rebellious attitude it would bring were the two teams neck and neck.

Even in their darkest moments, the Black and Yellows have a habit of pulling off surprises in this clash, exemplified by the fact they won in their last trip to face Bayern almost exactly one year ago.

It looks likely Dortmund will be heading out of the Champions League quarter-finals following a 4-0 first-leg defeat at Barcelona in midweek, requiring a miracle in the second leg to save the European campaign.

Robert Lewandowski came back to haunt his old side as he accounted for half of Barcelona’s haul, while Lamine Yamal and Raphinha also contributed one goal apiece:

From one FCB to another, however, and Dortmund can’t afford to have any divided loyalties heading a clash with its biggest Bundesliga rival this weekend.

Bayern didn’t have a fun time in its own Champions League commitments, either, and lost 2-1 at home to Inter Milan on Wednesday to put both German clubs in peril ahead of the return legs.

Canada’s own Alphonso Davies will play no role on Saturday after his season ended due to an ACL tear, joining Jamal Musiala and Hiroki Ito on the treatment table.

Meanwhile, Brazilian full-back Yan Couto is available for Dortmund having served his suspension, though midfielder Marcel Sabitzer and defender Nico Schlotterbeck each remain sidelined.

Regional restrictions may apply.
