Meanwhile, Mexico will be represented at the 2024 Caribbean Series by Charros de Jalisco, who will be looking to notch their first-ever Caribbean Series title.

After leading the Tomateros de Culiacán to four Mexican Pacific League titles from 2015-21, former Major League infielder Benji Gil has added another championship to his resume, this time at the helm of Charros, based in Guadalajara.

His Jalisco club defeated his former team, Tomateros, in six games in the Championship Series, which is how Charros advanced to this year’s Caribbean Series.
