The North Texas Mean Green wrap up their home regular season schedule on Thursday night when they host the Charlotte 49ers. They come into Thursday on a six-game winning streak and it has improved their record to 22-6 on the season and 13-3 in the American. They currently sit in second place, one game back of Memphis in the conference standings. They are also just a game up on UAB and need to win their last two games to secure the two seed in the conference tournament. The Mean Green have been playing great basketball as of late and are looking to say hot when they take on Charlotte for the first time this season. They have been led by Atin Wright who is scoring 13.9 points per game. Brenen Lorient is the only other players averaging in double figures at 12.2 points per game.

The 49ers haven’t been as good this year as they currently sit in last place in the conference with a 3-13 record. They opened up conference play with six striaght losses before they finally got by USF near the end of January.

They would then lose three more before beating Rice on Feb. 8. Their third win came on Feb. 19 when they knocked off Temple at home in overtime

They have dropped two straght since that win and they are now 10-19 on the season overall.

Despite their struggles they do have four players averaging in double figures. Nik Graves leads the way at 17.4 points per game. Giancarlo Rosado is second in scoring at 11.5 points per game while also leading the team with 5.6 rebounds per game.
