The Cougars got off on the right foot on Thursday when they shut out Arizona State 2-0. They broke through with two runs in the fourth and got a great pitching performance to get the win.
Saturday, they will look to get much of the same against an Arizona State team that has been struggling this year.
The Sun Devils came into the series just 13-14 in the Pac-12 and had lost a series to Oregon last weekend.
The Sun Devils are normally near the top of the conference but they were never able to gain any traction and have slid to the middle of the standings.
It hasn’t been a great year, but they will look to get a big road win on Saturday and head home with some momentum for the inaugural Pac-12 tournament next week.
