How to Watch Arizona vs. Oregon in College Baseball: Live Stream, TV Channel, Start Time

It’s looking more and more like No. 25 Arizona and Oregon will meet in the first round of the Pac-12 conference tournament. But first, the two teams have to wrap up their regular-season finale series, with game two on Friday.

On Friday, No. 25, Arizona and Oregon will play the second game of what is currently scheduled to be a three-game series. However, an extra match could end up unofficially getting tacked on to the end – of the current standings hold; this would also be the first game of the Pac-12 tournament. That’s looking like an increasingly possible chance, making this game a real feeling-out process.

Oregon took the first game of the series on Thursday with a 10-4 win. With that result, the Wildcats and Ducks are both 16-12 in conference play this season, which has them No. 4 and No. 5 – the two seeds set to meet in the first game of the Pac-12 tournament on Wednesday. With UCLA two games up on Arizona and Washington two games back of Oregon, it’s all but locked in.

Oregon’s bats struck early on Thursday, scoring five of the team’s 10 runs in the second inning. Junior left fielder Tanner Smith homered twice in that game, running his season total to 11. Smith is now on a six-game hitting streak and is batting .429 in that stretch. His .328 season batting average leads the Ducks.

Now all eyes turn to game two and the pitching matchup of senior lefty Garrett Irvin for Arizona and sophomore righty Isaac Ayon for Oregon. In 13 starts this year, Irvin has been one of the best pitchers in the Pac-12. He’s 5-3, and his 2.65 ERA is one of the best among all qualified pitchers in the conference.

Last week may have been Irvin’s best start of the season. In seven innings against No. 2 Oregon State, he allowed just three hits and one run while striking out nine hitters.

Regional restrictions may apply.
