The Missouri Tigers play the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lions in a non-conference baseball game on Wednesday night. The two teams will be playing for the second straight day and the Tigers will be looking to pick up the two-game sweep. The Tigers had their bats going in the first game on Tuesday, as they won 25-10. The Tigers led just 5-4 heading in the bottom of the fifth, but they scored 10 in the fifth and nine more in the sixth to break the game wide open. Despite scoring 25 runs, they had just 16 hits. They did draw 12 walks and were hit by six pitches. The win on Tuesday snapped a three-game losing streak for the Tigers and was their 10th win of the season. They now sit at 10-17 overall, but are still searching for their first SEC win. It doesn’t get an easier this weekend, as they will play No. 2 Arkansas, but first want to get a win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday.

The Lions, though, are looking to put the loss behind them and find a way to get a big road win to split the series.

It has not been a good season so far for the Lions, as they come into Wednesday 5-24 and on a four-game losing streak.

They did pick up a sweep of Alcorn State a week and a half ago and had won four of five games, but they couldn’t keep the momentum going as they were swept in three games by Alabama State last weekend.

They will return home this weekend for a three-game series with Prarie View A&M, but first would love to upset the Tigers and get back in the win column.
