The Arkansas State Red Wolves will travel to Fayetteville on Tuesday to take on the No. 1 Arkansas Razorbacks at Baum-Walker Stadium for a mid-week non-conference matchup. The Red Wolves bring an overall record of 14-17 into Tuesday’s game with a conference record of 5-7 for a spot in 10th place in the Sun Belt standings. Over the weekend, the team traveled to take on second place Coastal Carolina, falling 4-1 in the first two games before snagging a 2-0 win in the finale to avoid the sweep. Ashton Quiller was responsible for the team’s only earned run with an RBI double in the third inning and the final run of the game was plated in the eighth when Wil French came home on a wild pitch. Jack Hibbard improved to 5-2 on the season after through for seven innings and striking out eight batters.

The Razorbacks will look to extend their win streak to eight games on Tuesday after sweeping Missouri over the weekend to improve to 30-3 on the season and 11-1 in SEC play. Arkansas certainly didn’t hold back against the Tigers and run-ruled them in every game, outscoring the visitors 51-9. with a new program record for most runs scored in a series. The final game in the series which was the second in a Sunday double header resulted in a 16-2 victory. Landon Beidelschies got the start on the bump and threw for four innings, giving up four hits, one earned run and striking out seven batters in his fourth win of the season. Cam Kozeal led the team offensively, going 3-for-5 at the plate with an impressive six RBI. Kuhio Aloy and Carson Boles each brought three runs, as well, and the rest of the scoring was spread around amongst another five batters.

Arkansas State and Arkansas have only met a handful of times and the Razorbacks currently hold a 4-0 record over the Red Wolves. Tune in on Tuesday night for what is bound to be another strong showing for the Razorbacks under the lights.
