This series, which was a best-of-three, didn’t take three games as Arkansas handled business, winning it in two games. They won the first game, 4-3, followed by an 11-4 blowout win. The 48-13 team is led at the plate by Wehiwa Aloy, a junior shortstop. He is batting .348 this season with a team-high 20 home runs and 64 RBIs for Arkansas.

On the other side, the No. 6-seeded Tigers came from the Baton Rouge Regional to open their “Road to Omaha.” They took down Dallas Baptist easily, but they struggled with Little Rock, going to a Game 7 before winning. They also hosted the Baton Rouge Super Regional against unseeded West Virginia, who beat out No. 11-seeded Clemson in the Clemson Regional.

They also didn’t need three games, winning in a sweep, two games to none, and a run total of 28-14. The 48-15 LSU team is led at the plate by junior first baseman Jared Jones. He is batting .328 with a team-high 20 home runs and 70 RBIs. Anthony Eyanson will likely start on the mound after winning 11 games this season with a 2.74 ERA.
