The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs will host the No. 11 Auburn Tigers at Foley Field on Saturday as the teams continue their SEC series with game two. The Tigers come into Saturday’s contest with an overall record of 20-6 and a conference record of 4-3 after dropping a 4-1 game in the series opener on Friday night. The team’s lone run came from the bat of Ike Irish in the top of the ninth with a double to left center to score Bub Terrell. Samuel Dutton took the loss on the mound to drop to 3-2 on the season after giving up four earned runs in 4.1 innings and striking out seven batters. The team will look to regroup on Saturday in the hopes of tying up the series before heading into the finale on Sunday.

With Friday night’s win, the Bulldogs extended their win streak to six games and improved to 26-2 on the season and 6-1 in SEC play where the team currently sits in second place. Behind home runs from Devin Obee and Daniel Jackson, the Bulldogs were able to get past a strong Auburn squad. Obee opened the scoring with a two-run shot in the second inning and Jackson followed with his own two-run homer to center field in the fourth to give the Bulldogs a 4-0 lead. Kolten Smith took the win on the mound after throwing for five innings and striking out an impressive eight batters.
