Rodriguez took over with two on and nobody out with TCU leading 4-1 in the fourth innings. A pair of ground balls ended that threat. The pitcher gave up just three hits, walked one (intentionally) and struck out for in his five shutout innings. He also retired 10 of his last 11 batters faced.

Offensively, TCU quickly responded to a 1-0 first inning deficit with four in the second and never looked back. Noah Franco led off the inning with a walk and Chase Brunson tied the game with a double.

Anthony Silva’s base knock put the Frogs in front 2-1. Bell provided the insurance tallies with a two-out, two-run double and a 4-1 lead.

Later on, the Frogs put the game out of reach with a six-run eighth. The first six Horned Frogs reached and all six scored. Brunson led off the inning with his third hit of the game and ultimately scored on a wild pitch. Isaac Cadena drove in a run with a base knock.

The big blow was a bases-loaded triple from Bell for a 10-1 lead. Cramer provided the 10-run cushion with a base hit.
