TCU faces off against Houston at Globe Life Field Arlington, TX on Thursday with a chance to move on to the semifinals.

No. 11 Houston faces off against No. 3 TCU in the quarterfinal round of the Big 12 Tournament on Thursday night. The winner of this game will take on either No. 2 Kansas or No. 7 Oklahoma State. This is the first game of the tournament for the Horned Frogs while Houston upset No. 6 Kansas State on Wednesday to get to this round. TCU won the regular season series against Houston 2-1 outscoring the Cougars 30-8 when they faced off back at the end of March. The tournament is single elimination this year. Does Houston have another upset in them tonight?

Houston did not start off its opening game against K-State well with the Wildcats scoring two runs in the first inning. The Cougars settled in after that though only giving up five hits the whole game to win emphatically by a 9-2 final. Houston went off for five runs in the second and its relievers combined for eight scoreless innings. There were eight of 10 batters that recorded a hit on the night and six Cougars drove in at least one run. Connor McGinnis led that charge with a three-hit game with two doubles and a couple of RBIs, scoring twice himself.

TCU closed out the regular season with a 2-1 series win against Utah finishing 7-3 in Big 12 series. TCU is ranked No. 17 which is the highest in the Big 12.
