Kansas State lost to its in-state rival Kansas in the first game of the tournament and West Virginia was unable to get a win against TCU. They will now meet Wednesday with their season on the line.
After a recent series to end the regular season, Kansas State and West Virginia will square-off again on Wednesday in what is a make or break game. The winner moves on in the Big 12 Tournament, while the other is sent packing. Kansas State lost 2-1 to Kansas on Tuesday and West Virginia lost 5-2 to TCU.
The teams played a three-game series from May 10-12 in which West Virginia took two of three games. Kansas State got a 4-3 win in the first game, but West Virginia then outscored the Wildcats 25-5 over the next two games.

On Monday nine Wildcats received all-conference accolades, as Brady Day (first team), Kaelen Culpepper (second team) and Tyson Neighbors (second team), were voted to the All-Big 12 baseball teams.
On the year, K-State has produced a slash line of .273/.378/.433, as a team including 89 doubles, 15 triples and 58 home runs with four starters hitting over .300. The Cats have stolen a league-high 120 bases this season, ranking 11th overall in Division I.
For West Virginia on Tuesday JJ Wetherholt and senior Derek Clark were named to the All-Big 12 First Team, while senior Reed Chumley earned a spot on the second team. Junior Aidan Major, sophomore Sam White, and junior Kyle West all earned honorable mention status.
