On Wednesday afternoon, the ninth-seed Penn State Nittany Lions will take on the fifth-seed Washington Huskies at Charles Schwab Field. The Nittany Lions come into tournament play with an overall record of 31-22 and a conference record of 15-15. The team closed out regular season play with a series against Xavier, winning two of the three to secure the series victory. The team brings an overall batting average of .273, led by Paxton Kling, who is hitting .340. The pitching staff currently has an overall ERA of 6.13 and is led by Anthony Steele who appeared in 24 games and recorded 46 strikeouts, bringing his individual ERA to 3.40.
