Northeastern can clinch the CAA regular-season title this weekend as it hosts Delaware, with the series opener set for Friday afternoon

Northeastern (34-9) continues to steamroll through the Coastal Athletic Association, taking a 13-game winning streak into Friday’s series opener against Delaware (25-18) at Friedman Diamond in Brookline, Massachusetts. The Huskies are 16-2 in CAA play with six games remaining, four games clear of second-place William & Mary, and have already locked in a berth in the conference tournament, which opens in Charleston, South Carolina, on May 21. The Blue Hens have won their last two games and are fourth in the CAA at 10-8. Northeastern is looking to return to the NCAA tournament after missing last season while Delaware’s last appearance came in 2017.
