The Georgia Bulldogs look to defend their home turf when they take on the Duke Blue Devils in the Athens Regional. The two teams are battling for a spot in the regional final after winning their first game on Friday. The Bulldogs had no problem in their first game as they whipped the Binghamton Bearcats 20-4 to stay in the winner’s bracket. The Bulldogs scored five times in the bottom of the first and never looked back. They scored in six of the eight innings they hit in and dominated the Bearcats. Tre Phelps and Kolby Branch led the way with four hits each for the Bulldogs. Daniel Jackson drove in six runs and Phelps also had five RBI in the dominant win. Phelps and Jackson both showed off their power as they had two home runs each in the victory.

The Blue Devils had a little tougher time in their first game, but not by much. They also scored double digit runs in beat Oklahoma State 12-5.

The Blue Devils scored three runs in the bottom fo the second and six more in the third to take control of the game and were never really threatened.

The Blue Devils had 13 hits in the win and were led by Wallace Clark and Sam Harris who both had three hits.

The Blue Devils got home runs by Ben Miller, Tyler Albright and Jake Berger in the win. Owen Proksch pitched six innings and gave up just two runs on three hits to get the win.
