After a thrilling comeback walk-off win this series, Nevada looks for the series sweep on Sunday against Fresno State in college baseball.

Nevada looks for its third win in a row and a sweep of Fresno State in this series finale on Sunday afternoon in college baseball. The Bulldogs scored five runs in the first two games of this series, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Wolf Pack production. Fresno State is trying to get back to a game above .500 with a win today. Nevada has won four of its last five games and is riding high after a walk-off win in Game 2 on Saturday to grab the 6-5 victory. Nevada improved to 27-19 on the season and should be the favorite today with a 16-8 record at home. Before this series, Fresno State had won four games in a row. Can the Bulldogs get some of their mojo back before they head off to take on CSU Bakersfield on Tuesday?

Game 2 looked like the Bulldogs were going to tie this series up, scoring four runs in the second inning. But Fresno State couldn’t score again until the sixth inning. The Wolf Pack tied the game with two runs of their own in the bottom of the sixth. Both teams went scoreless until Sean Yamaguchi stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the ninth. The freshman infielder completed the comeback by hitting a two-out home run for the walk-off win.

Reliever Dominic Desch should get a lot of recognition too because he made the comeback possible. Desch got his fifth win of the season, shutting down the Bulldogs over the final 3.1 innings. Despite the tough loss for Fresno State, the Bulldogs still are in first place in the conference standings with a 15-8 record in the Mountain West.
