These SEC rivals throw down when they start this Super Regional series on Saturday between No. 3 Arkansas and No. 14 Tennessee. This will essentially serve as a home series for the Razorbacks as they host the Volunteers in Fayetteville, Arkansas in this three-game set. Game 3 will be on Monday if necessary. These two played less than a month a go when Arkansas finished out the regular season with a 2-1 series win after losing the opener. But it was the Vols who made it further in the SEC Tournament getting all the way to the semifinal round before losing to the eventual champ Vanderbilt by a 10-0 final. Arkansas skipped the first two rounds as one of the best teams in the conference but all that time off turned into a sluggish appearance in the quarterfinals losing to Ole Miss 5-2.

Arkansas should be the favorite in this series at home though especially after after a very strong performance in the NCAA Fayetteville Regional. The Razorbacks are 35-4 at home and their dominance showed in the last round. Arkansas swept the previous round as they try to build on a three-game winning streak against the Vols tonight. The Razorbacks started the regional beating North Dakota State 6-2 and then beating Creighton in consecutive games in dominating fashion. The Blue Jays went down 12-1 in the first game and Arkansas put an exclamation point on the round by winning 8-3 last Sunday to punch their ticket to the Super Regional. The 35 wins at home is a school record for the Razorbacks.

Tennessee is coming out of the Knoxville Regional where they played well advancing to the Super Regional round with a 11-5 win over Wake Forest on Monday. The Vols won their first two games of the regional by beating Miami (OH) and Cincinnati. They lost their first game against Wake Forest on Sunday in a close 7-6 game. By bouncing back in the regional finale, the Volunteers made their fifth straight Super Regional. Experience is what will fuel this Tennessee team on the road.
