Coastal Carolina looks to punch a ticket to the College World Series Finals, while Louisville tries to avoid elimination on Wednesday.

Coastal Carolina (55-11), the No. 13 national seed, looks to continue its run as it takes a 25-game winning streak into Wednesday’s semifinal game at the College World Series against Louisville (42-23) at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska. The Chanticleers haven’t lost since April 22, a stretch that includes seven straight NCAA tournament victories. Coastal Carolina advances to the College World Series Finals with a win over the Cardinals, who have staved off elimination twice since losing their opening game on Friday. The Cardinals averted disaster on Tuesday afternoon, getting a walk-off sacrifice fly from Eddie King Jr. in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat Oregon State 7-6 after surrendering three runs in the top of the frame, two courtesy of an error with the bases loaded. Jake Munroe and Zion Rose homered for Louisville and King was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

The Chanticleers last played on Sunday, claiming a 6-2 victory over Oregon State behind 7.2 strong innings from Jacob Morrison, who improved to 12-0 on the season. Colby Thorndyke got Coastal off to a fast start with a bases clearing double in the top of the first inning and Dean Mihos later cracked an RBI double.

Coastal Carolina is in its second CWS and its first since a stunning national title run in 2016. Louisville is in Omaha for the sixth time, all since 2007, but has never won the national championship.
