LSU needed parts of two days to beat UCLA 9-5 in a game that began on Monday night before rain suspended play and forced a continuation on Tuesday. After trailing 3-0 after the top of the first, Jared Jones clubbed a three-run home run in the bottom of the frame to give the Tigers the lead and they never looked back. Jones leads the team with 21 homers and 74 RBI.

The Razorbacks scored twice in the bottom of the first and never trailed in a 7-3 win to eliminate UCLA on Tuesday night. Wehiwa Aloy’s two-run home run started the scoring in the first and Arkansas led 7-0 before the Bruins plated three in the top of the ninth. Logan Maxwell drove in two runs and Zach Root worked five scoreless innings. Wehiwa Aloy leads the team with 21 home runs while younger brother Kuhio Aloy has 70 RBI.

The Tigers beat Arkansas 4-1 in the teams’ first game at Omaha on Saturday behind seven strong innings from Kade Anderson, who allowed a run on three hits, and a three-run second inning.
