Drew Burress and No. 1 seed Georgia Tech will take the field in the semifinals against Dominic Listi and No. 5 seed Clemson on Saturday afternoon.

The No. 1-seeded Georgia Tech will face off against the No. 5-seeded Clemson in the first semifinal matchup in the ACC Baseball Championship on Saturday afternoon at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina. The No. 1-seeded Yellow Jackets are also the No. 16-ranked team in the nation, ending the regular season with a 40-16 record overall and a 19-11 record against ACC teams. They closed out the season winning two of three games against Duke before entering the ACC Tournament against California in the quarterfinals.

The No. 16-seeded California had already upset No. 9 Miami and No. 8 Wake Forest before this matchup. However, Georgia Tech took the win 10-3. Tate McKee picked up his seventh win of the season after allowing two earned runs on eight hits with 10 strikeouts over 6.1 innings. Drew Burress blasted two home runs in the game with a total of four RBIs to propel GT forward.

The No. 5-seeded Tigers finished their season with a 43-15 overall record and an 18-12 conference record. They opened up the tournament in the second round with a 6-1 win over Virginia Tech. Aidan Knaak picked up win No. 9 in the second-round game, allowing one run over 6.0 innings with six strikeouts. Dominic Listi hit the only home run of the game for the team with four RBIs to lead the offense.

Moving on to the quarterfinals, they faced off with the No. 4-seeded NC State and won by just one run, 7-6. Lucas Mahlstedt won his third game of the season as a reliever after Drew Titsworth started the game. Jacob Jarrell blasted a home run with three of the seven RBIs for Clemson. However, it was RBIs from Jarrell, TP Wentworth, and Andrew Ciufo in the eighth inning that won the team the game.
