Ole Miss and Georgia Tech look to stay alive in regional play with a win when the teams meet on Sunday in college baseball action.

In the final consolation game of the Oxford Regional at the College Baseball World Series, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Ole Miss Rebels look to keep their season going on Sunday with a win. Both teams have one loss to their names, both to Murray State. The Yellow Jackets won their opening game against Western Kentucky 9-2. In the win, Alex Hernandez led the offense with four RBIs, while Kyle Lodise and Kent Schmidt each scored two runs. Tate McKee earned the win, pitching seven innings, allowing seven hits, one earned run and striking out six. Carson Ballard came in to close the game, pitching two innings, allowing one run and striking out three. Georgia Tech fell to Murray State 13-11 after losing an early lead. The team started off strong, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning, but Murray State went on to score 10 runs before the Yellow Jackets could get back on the board.

Ole Miss in its opening round game, also to Murray State, took a tough 9-6 loss. Murray State had a four-run lead going into the third inning before the Ole Miss bats came alive, scoring three runs in the third and two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Murray State scored one run each in the fifth and sixth innings to tie and then take the lead. Ole Miss tied the game in the bottom of the seventh, but Murray State responded once again, scoring a run in the top of the eighth and adding two more in the ninth to win it.

On Saturday, Ole Miss rebounded to beat Western Kentucky 8-6. In the win, Austin Fawley, Mitchell Sanford and Judd Utermark each had two runs and two RBIs. All three men hit two solo home runs in the game to power the offense. Earning the win on the mound was Hunter Elliot, pitching six innings and allowing eight hits and three runs, one earned, while striking out seven. Taylor Rabe and Connor Spencer came in for relief, each allowing three hits and striking out one batter apiece.
