Georgia will look to extend its win streak to three games with a mid-week victory over Kennesaw State on Tuesday night.
The Kennesaw State Owls will travel to Athens on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup against the No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs at Foley Field. The Owls come into the mid-week matchup with an overall record of 22-21 and a conference record of 12-6 which has them in second place in the Conference USA standings. Over the weekend, the team took on Liberty and won two of three to secure the series victory with a 15-7 victory in the rubber match on Sunday. Despite trailing by five runs going into the third inning, the Owls fought back with an unbelievable eight RBI from Nate Anderson who hit two home runs in the win with one being a grand slam. Daniel Powell earned the win on the mound after throwing for 2.1 innings and striking out two batters.

The Bulldogs are currently in eighth place in the SEC standings with an overall record of 35-11 and a conference record of 12-9. The team has won two games in a row, both against No. 21 Oklahoma over the weekend with the finale being a 6-3 victory to secure the series win. Four home runs allowed the Bulldogs to come back from a two-run deficit. Kolby Branch hit two solo home runs, Robbie Burnett hit a solo shot and Brennan Hudson hit a three-run shot to center field. Alton Davis II remains undefeated on the mound for the Bulldogs at 4-0 after striking out one batter in 1.1 innings of work on the mound. Leighton Finley got the start and threw out seven batters in his five innings while giving up two earned runs.
Georgia and Kennesaw State have met a total of 36 times in their history and the Bulldogs hold a 25-11 advantage in the all-time series. Georgia has won the last eight games in the series with the most recent being a 6-4 win earlier this season.
