Kentucky and Louisville go head-to-head on Tuesday night in an in-state rivalry game in college baseball action.

The No. 14 Louisville Cardinals will welcome the Kentucky Wildcats to Jim Patterson Stadium on Tuesday night as the team’s meet in their annual rivalry game. The Wildcats will look to pull off an upset on the road while subsequently breaking a two-game losing streak after No. 9 Ole Miss stole the series out from under them over the weekend. The team picked up a 5-4 win in extra innings to kick off the SEC series before the Rebels came back to win 3-1 in game two, forcing a rubber match in the finale. A 5-4 win for Ole Miss in a marathon 12-inning game dropped the Wildcats to 18-11 overall and 5-7 in conference play which now has them in 10th place in the SEC standings. Robert Hogan took the loss on the mound after coming in for the save in the 10th. He threw for two innings, but gave up the game-winning runs. Ben Cleaver got the start on the mound and threw an impressive 11 strikeouts while only giving up one earned run.
