The Tigers have been led at the plate by Ethan Frey and Jared Jones. Frey had a team-high .358 batting average and 12 home runs. Jones batted .333 with a team-best 19 home runs and 66 RBIs.

The Trojans come into the Baton Rouge Regional as huge underdogs, as they are just 24-32 on the season.

They shocked the OVC by winning the conference tournament with five straight wins. They won two games on the first day of the tournament and then three games over the next three days.

They came into the tournament as the eight-seed and proceeded to upset Southern Indiana, Southeast Missouri, Lindenwood and Eastern Illinois twice.

They knocked off Eastern Illinois 9-8 in 10 innings in the first meeting and then beat the Panthers 2-1 in the championship game on Saturday to earn a berth into the NCAA Tournament.
