The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets welcome the Mercer Bears to town on Tuesday night in a college baseball matchup. The Yellow Jackets come into Tuesday looking to bounce back from a 4-3 loss to No. 3 Clemson. They had upset the Tigers in the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday 18-2, but couldn’t clinch the series win and lost the second game. They had won five in a row before the losses to Clemson and had won nine of 10. Despite the two losses to the Tigers they are still 22-6 on the season and 8-4 in the ACC. The Yellow Jackets will hit the road to take on Stanford in a three-game set starting on Friday, but first want to pick up a non-conference win on Tuesday.

The Bears, though, are looking to come to town and pick up an upset win over the Yellow Jackets.

The Bears come into Tuesday looking to win a second straight game after they beat Western Carolina 13-3 in seven innings on Saturday.

They had lost the first game of the doubleheader 7-3, but got their bats going in the nightcap to take the series.

They have now won four of their last five games and it has pushed their record to 19-10 overall and 3-3 in conference play.

This will be just the second major conference opponent they have played all season. In their first they upset No. 5 Florida State back on March 18 and will be looking to do the same thing on Tuesday.
