Louisville hosts Miami on Friday afternoon in the first game of the Super Regional. Watch for free on Fubo today.

The Louisville Cardinals take on the Miami Hurricanes on Friday afternoon in the first game of their best-of-three Super Regional series. Both teams made a surprising run to the regional championship last weekend. The Cardinals went undefeated and won the Nashville Regional after the top seed of the tournament, Vanderbilt, was knocked out by Wright State. The Hurricanes knocked off No. 16 Southern Miss in the Hattiesburg Regional to move on. They won their first two games, but lost to the Golden Eagles in their first meeting. They bounced back, though, to beat the Golden Eagles 5-4 in an elimination game. The Hurricanes scored two runs in the fifth and sixth innings and then held off a ninth-inning rally to win the regional. The Hurricanes will now look to extend their season against their ACC rival Cardinals. The two teams didn’t play in the regular season despite being the same conference. The two teams finished in the middle of the ACC standings, but are two of the five teams from the conference still playing.

The Cardinals come into the Super Regional on a three-game winning streak, but they ended the regular season in a slump.

They had lost six of seven games coming into the regional, but did just enough to win all three games in the regional.

They beat East Tennessee State 8-3 in the first game before they upset Vanderbilt 3-2 in the winner’s bracket final.

The Cardinals won the regional by shutting out a Wright State team looking to be the surprise of the tournament. Ethan Eberle and Wyatt Danilowicz combined to give up just two hits and no runs in the regional championship.
