No. 2 seed Alabama will battle the regional’s No. 3 seed in Miami in the first game of the Hattiesburg Regional at Hill Denson Field at Pete Taylor Park on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi. The Crimson Tide finished their season with a 41-16 overall record and a 16-14 record against teams in the SEC. They ended their regular season losing two of three games in a series against Florida. They opened up the SEC Tournament with a win over Missouri, 4-1, before losing 15-10 in the second round to Tennessee.

Riley Quick has been the best on the mound for Alabama this season, though Zane Adams isn’t far off. Quick is 8-2 with a 3.54 ERA and a team-high 64 strikeouts in 56 innings. At the plate, Justin Lebron is batting .315 with a team-high 18 home runs and 72 RBIs on 70 hits in 222 at-bats. Alabama will rely heavily on these two guys.

The Hurricanes closed out their regular season with a 31-24 record overall and a 15-14 record against teams in the ACC. After losing two of three games against Notre Dame to close out the regular season, they dropped the first game of the ACC Tournament to Cal, 12-2, before heading to the NCAA Tournament.

The winner of this game will move ahead and take on the winner of the Southern Mississippi vs. Columbia regional game. The winner of this regional will take on the winner of the Nashville regional in a super regional.
