Missouri will look to pull off an upset over Arkansas on Friday when the teams meet in the first game of their SEC series.

The No. 2 Arkansas Razorbacks will host the Missouri Tigers at Baum-Walker Stadium on Friday as the teams kick off an SEC series in Fayetteville. The Tigers are still winless in conference play, putting them in last place in the SEC standings with a record of 0-9 against conference opponents and 11-17 overall. The Tigers did pick up a pair of wins against UAPB on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, winning 25-10 in the first game and 8-7 in the second. Keegan Knutson, Pierre Seals and Chris Patterson each finished the game with two RBI apiece to lead the offensive efforts. Seals opened the scoring with a solo shot in the second and Brady Picarelli followed with a solo shot to right center. Xavier Lovett was credited with the win on the mound after throwing for two innings and striking out one batter.

The Razorbacks come into this weekend on a four-game win streak with the most recent being a 7-4 win against Grambling State on Tuesday to bring their overall record to 27-3 and their conference record to 8-1. Against the Tigers, Tate McGuire earned the start on the mound, and subsequently the win, with four innings of work in which he struck out four batters and only gave up one earned run. Carson Boles led offensively for the Hogs, going 1-for-3 at the plate with three RBI.

In Friday’s series opener, Kaden Jacobi (2-3) will get the start on the mound for Missouri while Zach Root (1-0) will stand on the bump for the Razorbacks. Arkansas is 26-15 overall against Missouri and have won the last 10 of 12 games against the Tigers.
