The Murray State Racers look to continue their magical postseason run when they take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in the College World Series on Monday afternoon. The Racers are playing in their first ever College World Series are looking to avoid a second straight loss. They fell in their first round game to UCLA on Saturday and are trying to avoid being eliminated in two games. The Racers got down early as they gave up a single run in the first and second innings. They gave up four more runs in the bottom of the fourth to go down 6-0. They would finally get on board with a run in the fifth and one more in the sixth. They would get two more runs in the eighth, but it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback. Jonathan Hogart led the way for the Racers at the plate with three hits. Dustin Mercer added two hits, but it wasn’t enough to get the win.

The Razorbacks came up short in their first game against SEC foe LSU. They managed just one run and four hits in the three-run loss to the Tigers.

They gave up three runs in the top of the second to go down early to the Gators and they could never get anything going at the plate.

They had beaten the Tigers twice in the regular season, but struggled in their first game in Omaha on Saturday.

Charles Davalan, Wehiwa Aloy, Cam Kozeal and Reese Robinett each had one hit for the Razorbacks, but it wasn’t nearly enough to knock off the Tigers.
