A spot in the super regionals is on the line Monday night, as Murray State and Ole Miss meet for the third time in the Oxford Regional.

No. 10 seed Ole Miss (43-20) battled its way back from a loss in the first game of the Oxford Regional to advance to a winner-take-all matchup with Murray State (41-14) on Monday night at Swayze Field. The Racers, chasing their first appearance in an NCAA super regional, won their first two games before losing on Sunday to the Rebels, who last reached the super regionals en route to the program’s lone national championship in 2022 and are back in the NCAA tournament for the first time since then.

Ole Miss clubbed five home runs Sunday night and broke the game open with an eight-run third-inning outburst en route to a 19-8 victory to force Monday’s matchup. Will Furniss homered twice, driving in four runs, while Judd Utermark, Isaac Humphrey and Austin Fawley also went deep. Ryne Rodriguez allowed one run in 3.2 innings of relief, striking out four, to earn the win.

Murray State led 1-0 after an inning and 3-2 after two before the Rebels brought the hammer down in the third inning. Jonathan Hogart clubbed a two-run homer in the second and Dustin Mercer is 9-for-12 in the regional with seven doubles. Seven Racers pitchers combined to issue 10 walks in the loss, while also allowing 19 hits.

The Rebels lost their opener to Murray State on Friday before coming back with wins over Western Kentucky on Saturday and both Georgia Tech and the Racers on Sunday. Murray State got to the regional final with a victory over Georgia Tech on Saturday.
