Portland and San Diego meet in the title game for the WCC baseball tournament.
The double-elimination WCC baseball tournament has reached its final day, with either one or two games left on tap depending on the outcome of this one between No. 1 seed San Diego and No. 2 seed Portland. San Diego, by virtue of a win over Portland on Friday, clinches the title with a win in this one. If Portland wins, we get a deciding third game between the two schools. Both teams opened play with wins on Thursday, with San Diego beating Gonzaga 10-7 and Portland taking down Saint Mary’s 16-7. Portland earned a spot in this game last night with a 21-3 demolition of Gonzaga.
